We took a traditional hearty, Mexican soup and gave it a nutritious, plant-based twist. Our Pozole Blanco features an array of flavourful vegetables and spice -- like butternut squash, tomatillos, poblanos, and jalapenos -- perfectly roasted to a deep flavorful char. The featured grain, hominy, is corn that has been transformed through soaking to make nutrients like Vitamin B more bioavailable (and more delicious!). A blend of carrots, celery, black beans, and cilantro create a deeply layered soup with just a hint of heat, a perfect warm-up.

So named because myth holds that Icarus flew too close to the sun and fell to the sea nearby, Ikaria is better known today as the home to some of the oldest, healthiest folks on earth. The secret? Researchers think food is part of it.  So this hearty FireRoad dish is inspired by the foods of Ikaria. The longevity stew brings together anti-inflammatory ingredients like red onions, garlic, fennel, tomatoes, and kale.
